Absolutely! Yes, we train licensed professionals in advanced skin and body care services, but we are also a Board Licensed Micropigmentation/ Permanent Cosmetics Academy. Please be advised, we are not a beauty school or college and therefore, we do not offer an esthetician or nursing degree. We can however walk you through the entire process to help you become a Licensed Permanent Cosmetic Specialist/ Permanent Makeup Artist which is a seperate licensure and is overseen by the county health boards. We can also offer already licensed professionals advanced aesthetic training certifications to further their careers in the beauty or medical aesthetics industry. In this way we serve career changers or any other individual who is artistic and passionate about learning how to succeed in the $34 billion dollar med spa, beauty and permanent makeup industry! Permanent makeup artists work in med spas, doctors offices or in their own private practices along side other aesthetic professionals. The average hourly wage of a proficient Licensed Permanent Cosmetic Specialist is $100 plus per hour. This is why we train so many nurses and doctors to perform permanent makeup and micro pigmentation services.

Yes! We do provide training supplies and manuals and they are included in your tuition price. All equipment, lasers and Coolsculpting, PMU machines etc., orders will be handled by our medical aesthetic supply companies and we will help your resource them for the best price. Details will be given during your academic consultation and in class. We charge for high quality education that is required for you to practice safely and legally and there are no hidden fees. We are not an aesthetic equipment manufacturer or distributor, so we give an honest and unbiased opinion of the equipment you will need to acquire for your practice. We stay current with the medical aesthetic product and equipment market in order to offer the most up to date course content. In that way we can customize the course for you, cut through the marketing hype and recommend the highest quality and affordable products and equipment with low consumable cost. When you register for your course and pay the deposit to reserve your class date we will send you an email with reading materials. The reading will need to be read prior to your coming to class and is your virtual portion of the class. The day or days in class are considered your hands-on clinical. We do not mail manuals or course materials because many of our students come from out of town and need to get the reading as soon as possible.
Once you register for our courses you will also be given access to our student portal where you can view recommended vendor lists to purchase excellent supplies and aesthetic equipment. We do not handle supply orders for things like skin and body equipment, permanent makeup machines, needles or replacement machines. If you are taking our medical aesthetic courses our instructors will give you a list of medical supply providers and laser equipment providers.
We recommend that you arrange a model for your live, hands-on clinical. It is usually easier to perform a service on someone you know. If you are taking a one day class your model should arrive no later than 11am and the model will be expected to stay as late as 2:30pm. For example our Microblading & Microshading Course is a three day clinical taught over the course of three weeks on Monday Only. Your model should arrive on the third Monday of class by 11am and be expected to stay until 2:30pm. Renew Image will arrange a model for you with one weeks notice if you are coming from out of town. Model fee is $99 per course and is paid by the model. Please note our instructors make sure all models leave with good results so they don’t have to worry! They are under the direct supervision of highly trained instructors as well as the best hands! Yours!
We suggest the following: Dress in professional attire or scrubs while in class, and hair tied back. We take photos and videos of our courses and want to project a professional and sanitary image. Bring an ipad or laptop to make notes. Bring a note pad and pen. Please bring snacks and lunch, oftentimes class runs into lunch so we can not guarantee a long break. Beverages are available. We are conveniently located near many restaurants.
Then you may register in the next up-coming class and bring a list of your questions to that class to ask your instructor. Check with us for upcoming class dates. Our training is so comprehensive and our reading materials are so high quality that our refresher rate is very low. However we are here for lifetime support! Our success is your success! No model is required on the day of your refresher. Refresher fee is $199
You will receive an internationally recognized certificate of attendance with our medical directors endorsement. If you are a licensed professional and your board requires that you receive additional training and certification to perform these services under your own scope of practice, as soon as you leave our course you are legally permitted to perform these services. We recommend you call your insurance company and make sure you are covered first. If you are taking our permanent cosmetics courses, such as microblading or scalp micro pigmentation, you will receive your certificate of training and be able to legally perform the services after you receive a permit from the health board. We also provide affordable insurance recommendations. We do not offer continuing eduacation hours for licensed professionals. Please check with your respective state boards for more information on continuing education requirements.
Our programs are NOT only One Day. Our courses are considered Hybrid Courses. Our in person One Day courses are considered clinicals or hands-on practicals, however, you will be required to read course materials prior to coming to your hands-on clinical. This is considered the virtual portion of your course. If you are already a licensed professional we expect that you already have a basic understanding of the skin, wound healing, and bloodborne pathogens etc. When you register for any class, we will email/ text you all training materials and other information you must read prior to class, you can print these if you wish but it is not necessary. No one is expected to do perfect work after one day of hands on clinical training, we expect that you will continue to practice the tools given to you until you master your skills.
